The IDT intelligent controllers from primion are characterised by high flexibility and modularity. The support equally access control, time and attendance and security technology applications.
IDT 8 access control unit
This is a tried-and-tested microprocessor-controlled system, based on 8 Bit technology. The base version can control 2 doors, 2 readers and 2 keypads: The device can be expanded through modular plug-in cards to handle up to 8 doors.
Other plug-in cards include different interface options and I/O modules.Using this established technology, the device offers extreme flexibility and modularity for many different applications in the areas of access control and time and attendance. Connections to security technology are done using interfaces.
Freely programmable high-end IDT 12 controller for DIN rail installation
The intelligent IDT 12 from primion technology AG is a modern, high-end controller with many different access control deployment options. Thanks to the use of flexible DIN rail technology, the device has optimum characteristics for integration in standardised electrical installation environments.
The core of this system is a 32 bit, high-performance CPU with Cold Fire processor technology and 16 MB SD-RAM with dynamic memory management. The system can handle wide-ranging logic functions. Up to 100 command structures, each with up to 64 Kb of parameters can be stored in the IDT 12 memory. As a result, the IDT 12 can be used as a freely programmable controller.
States and events from a further IDT 12, IDT 16 and/or IDT 32 can also be included in the logic. Data exchange is done through direct peer-to-peer communication between the IDTs, without routing through the server. The result is a very secure system.
With the modern, high-end IDT 12 controller, inputs and outputs for up to 12 readers and 12 DIN connection modules can be integrated and combined over an RS485 interface. The IDT 12 supports pkt technology. The integrated display facilitates simple installation and problem-free servicing.
LEGIC and Mifare credential readers and door controllers with inputs and outputs are available as Bus devices.
This makes a decentralised cabling structure possible. Power supplies for DIN rail installation are also available.
Economically priced and compact IDT 16 controller
A new addition to the product portfolio of primion Technology AG is the IDT 16, the "small brother" of the IDT 32 controller.
It offers extensive and flexible deployment options and handles wide-ranging logic functions. The IDT 16 is used as freely programmable controller as up to 100 command structures, each with up to 64 Kb of parameters can be stored in its memory. States and events from other controllers, both IDT 16 and IDT 32, can also be included in the logic. The integrated display makes installation and maintenance simple. Both the IDT 16 and the IDT 32 also support pkt technology for mechatronic offline access control.
With the IDT 16 controller, inputs and outputs for up to 16 readers and 16 DIN connection modules can be integrated and combined over an RS485 interface. 2 of the 16 readers can also be connected directly to the IDT 16 through a clock/data interface. Up to 4 buses can be run in parallel using the serial RS485 bus technology Through the low-profile 1 U construction, the device can be integrated into 19" network cabinets without problem.
IDT 32 controller
This is a state-of-the-art multi-functional, 32 BIT controller for access control, time and attendance, security technology and video technology. The system is based on modular, 19" Hardware modules. A wide range of plug-in cards allows the controller to be expanded to handle 32 readers, 200 inputs and outputs and up to 2 webcams. It has an integrated Ethernet interface and work at data transmission speeds of up to 100 MBit. The complete software can be downloaded and can be adjusted to meet all circumstances automatically.
As well as comprehensive access control functions such as airlock control and freely programmable event controls, the IDT 32 also fulfils all the functionality of an alarm system. Up to 1024 detectors, such as motion, smoke and glass breakage detectors can be connected. Arming/disarming is either done manually through operating panels or automatically dependent on different events and states. The integration of access control and alarm technology into one system creates many benefits for the user, such as automatic arming when no one is in the building or the avoidance of false alarms through automatic refusal of access bookings when an area is armed. The alarm system functions cover the whole range specified by VdS Class C, which makes the IDT 32 into full-function, fully-featured security system.
